Singer-songwriter concert
"She sings, and her listeners feel it. There is more than just voice - Julia Schilinski touches the soul," wrote one critic on the occasion of a concert in Kiel. And this sentence runs like a red thread through the artist's entire oeuvre. Whether in her exploration of the music of the Greek Mikis Theodorakis, in her interpretations of the tangos of Astor Piazzolla or, as on this evening, in her own compositions and texts - the encounter with Julia Schilinski is always one thing above all - intensity and emotion.
In addition to the impressive richness and variety of her last albums, the "Grande Dame of soft tones" presents beautiful, intimate new pieces from the work on her current album, which the artist hopes will be released in spring 2026 and whose title "Encounters" gives the program its name. We look forward to songs and chansons whose central focus is, as always, the human condition and, wonderfully embedded in the playing of the long-standing band family, we will once again encounter the abysmal and the deep, the light and the playful, the weak, the despondency and the magnificence within us.
