Vipperow Village Church
This rectangular fieldstone building with a brick gable, dating from the 13th century, is one of the oldest church buildings of its kind in Mecklenburg. The portal on the south side features a pointed arch with a late Romanesque Trinity window.The other windows were constructed as slit windows with pointed arches. The upper sections of the gables and the frames of the portals and windows are partially made of brick.The choir gable features ascending, stepped pointed-arch blindings and two brick crosses recessed into them. The sacristy, built of fieldstone and brick, dates from the 15th century.
