The village church of Consrade is located on the glacial valley of the Stör and probably dates from the 16th century. If it were not for a small bell tower to the west of the building, the small chapel with its red bricks and red-roofed hipped roof would look more like a half-timbered house. Centuries-old oaks, some of which are framed by wooden benches, invite visitors to linger in the church courtyard. The fact that the church, which became dilapidated at the end of the 18th century, was not demolished is due to initial renovations in the first third of the 19th century, but above all to fundamental renovation work on the windows, doors, floor and roof, which was initiated in 1968 by the then pastor Jürgen Hebert from Schwerin. In the same year, the Dresden sculptor and painter Friedrich Press, who specialized in the design of church interiors, designed the altar, the altar chandelier and the crucifix made of metal. White plastered half-timbered walls and a flat entablature on the ceiling characterize the interior of the church.
