One of the oldest harbors on Rügen with stately captain's houses and extensive services.
Where the Wittow peninsula of Rügen is connected with the narrow headland of the Schaabe, lies the harbor town of Breege. Many stately captain's houses from the 18th and 19th centuries are still reminders of the time when the inhabitants went on great voyages from here. Galleasses, brigantines and schooners no longer set sail today, but the harbor has developed into a modern water sports center on the Breeger Bodden. Even today, some fishermen still go out. However, with a solid range of services and the numerous maritime vacation accommodations nearby, the harbor is primarily of interest to recreational captains. In summer, excursion boats depart from here to the island of Hiddensee and to the "Störtebeker Festival" in Ralswiek. The harbor has 50 guest berths.
The harbor has been awarded 3 steering wheels each in the ADAC marina classification in technology & service, as well as in catering and leisure.
