The Plau lift bridge is an industrial monument.
The lift bridge was built in 1916, saved from demolition in 1945 and reconstructed in 1991/92. If larger ships come and want to go to the lock or to Lake Plauer See, the bridge is lifted up about 1.60 meters. Today it is one of the most popular photo motifs in Plau.
