The Damgarten vicarage, built in 1875, is still the focal point of the Protestant parish of St. Bartholomew Damgarten-Saal. Church activities in the Damgarten district and the surrounding villages are run from here.
The municipality includes the Ribnitz-Damgarten district of Damgarten (St. Bartholomäus) and numerous surrounding villages: Behrenshagen, Beiershagen, Daskow, Dechowshof, Hermannshagen-Dorf, Hermannshagen-Heide, Hermannshof, Hessenburg, Kückenshagen, Langendamm, Michaelsdorf, Neuendorf, Neuendorf-Heide, Plummendorf, Pütnitz, Saal (church) and Tempel.
To this day, the rectory is a place of encounter, pastoral care and church fellowship - an important testimony to the life of faith in Damgarten and the surrounding area
