Nestled amid fields and rolling hills, the Küsselhof in Boock stands in a secluded location with sweeping views of the countryside. The four-sided farmstead was built in 1860. After 25 years of lying dormant, it was renovated starting in 2020 and restored to its original state. The rooms are completely plastered with clay, and you can feel just how pleasant that is the moment you arrive. The buildings breathe.
It’s easy to relax here right away. After a few laps in the swimming pond, stretch out on a lounge chair and watch the sand lizard basking in the sun and the frogs soaking up the warmth. Between April and September, the barn swallows show off their flying skills around the trees. In the fall, deer sometimes venture right into the garden.
The vacation apartments are furnished with an eye for detail. The wall tiles in the showers come from the Annette Herrmann ceramics workshop in Einhaken.
The surrounding area is perfect for bike rides, walks, and hikes. Those who prefer to stay in can cook, listen to music, read a good book, or simply sleep. Concerts are held regularly in the converted cattle barn and in the garden, and every year the farm opens its doors for “Kunst:Offen.”
