Horseback riding is permitted here from October 1 to March 31 each year. Riding in the water is only allowed on the dog beach at the Wohlenberger Wiek. This begins approx. 600 m east of the Schöpfwerk (to the right of beach access 3) and has a length of 300 m, thus ending 900 m east of the Schöpfwerk The entire beach area extends from Klütz to the community of Zierow.
The beach in the Wohlenberger Wiek scores with its picturesque sunsets that can hardly be surpassed and often enough creates a southern flair. In the area of the Liebeslaube there is the possibility to start with water sports equipment, here you will also find the surf school Knopf. In the summer season the beach is managed, which means that the sea grass is cleared regularly, the beach is leveled once a week, toilets are set up and beach chairs are offered for rent at both ends of the beach area.
Approximately in the middle of our beach area is the dog beach. This dog beach area is the off-season area where riding is also allowed in the water. Here it should be pointed out once that riding on the beach is allowed in principle only outside the summer season, but according to the specifications of the StALU (state office for agriculture and environment) normally does not include riding in the water.
