Since 2000, the Fischerstube has been home to all the things that have shaped life in the village and the region. The tourist information office is also located here. Here you will find information, accommodation, bike hire, fishing permits, souvenirs and much more.
The "Fischerstube" Mönkebude Museum opened its doors on May 11, 1996 - and has since become a lively place of remembrance and encounter. What once began as a small exhibition on the history of fishing is now a lovingly maintained piece of village culture that delights locals and guests alike.
In the Fischerstube, you can feel the spirit of times gone by: Nets, fish traps, tools and photos tell of the hard but proud work of the fishermen on the Szczecin Lagoon. Many of the exhibits come from local families - each piece with its own story. The museum thus not only preserves old things, but above all the knowledge, language and cohesion of an entire generation.
