Venue in Born in the summer season

The Darß Festival has been inviting visitors to theater and concerts on the Baltic Sea peninsula of Darß since 2003. The focus is on an in-house theatrical production. In addition to various episodes of "The Darß Smugglers", based on a story by the Darß local poet Johann Segebarth, there have also been adaptations of well-known comedies in recent years, such as "Pension Schöller" or "Dat Weiße Rössl". The content of the productions is always related to the Pomeranian coast. Since 2013, episodes based on the novels "The Heathens of Kummerow" and "The Righteous of Kummerow" by Ehm Welk have been performed. The theater performances have made the Darß Festival famous. They are performed daily in High German and in Low German.
