The bus stop is located right next to the Bärenwald Müritz Visitor Center.
The BÄRENWALD Müritz, an animal welfare project by VIER PFOTEN, provides bears with a habitat that meets their natural needs: a varied landscape featuring mixed forest, meadows, forest clearings, hillsides, and a natural watercourse. These are ideal conditions for brown bears to rediscover and express their natural behaviors. They can satisfy their urge to move around, retreat to secluded areas, dig dens, and hibernate. Ponds allow for extended swimming and grooming—bears love water!
Contact with humans is kept to a necessary minimum so that the brown bear has the opportunity to establish its own daily routine. Visitors get a glimpse into the animals’ daily lives—but only the bear decides whether to show itself. It can retreat at any time. A day trip for the whole family • exciting exhibition stations • adventure forest playground • bistro • bear shop
