Harbours and marinas

Althagen is a district of the Baltic Sea Resort Ahrenshoop. Its idyllic harbour is situated on the north-western shore of the Saaler Booden.

Surrounded by reed meadows the Althagen habour with its dainty boat houses is the right place to take a break. Visitors enjoy the maritime atmosphere while watching the traditional Zeese and fishings boats and having a delicious fish meal in the local restaurant with its neighbouring smoke house. From April until October you can go on board of a passenger ship going to Ribnitz-Damgarten at 12:05pm or to Zingst at 3:30pm. Zeese boats invite you to a short trip on the Bodden every second hour.

Besides the Althagen harbour offers some guest moorings with modern sanitary facilities and a water and power supply.
Contact the harbour master Mr. Schönthier: Tel. 0049 172-3120484

On every third Saturday in September the harbour becomes the scene of the traditional Fisherman regatta.
