Are the cycle paths in MV also suitable for beginners and families?

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is predominantly flat and therefore a paradise for leisure cyclists, newcomers and families. Most of the cycle paths are well developed and take you off the beaten track through soothing natural scenery. You can set your own pace, take a break at the lake at any time or linger in one of the quiet villages. The focus here is on a relaxed experience.

Each season has its very own magic! In spring, you cycle through a sea of golden rapeseed. In summer, a fresh breeze from the Baltic Sea provides pleasant cooling on your tours. Autumn enchants with bright colors and the impressive spectacle of thousands of cranes migrating towards the south. Simply choose your favorite time to take a deep breath!

Can bicycles or e-bikes be rented on site?

You don't necessarily have to bring your own bike. Let the wind on the coast accompany you on the famous Baltic Sea Cycle Route or immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Mecklenburg Lake District on the Mecklenburg Lakes Cycle Route. Both will take you through glowing rapeseed fields and shady avenues. You are guaranteed to find your favorite tour here, whether for a day or a whole week full of discoveries.

Bike-friendly accommodation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can be recognized by the ADFC seal of quality „Bett+Bike“. A targeted search can be carried out via the website www.bettundbike.de möglich. There are a particularly large number of certified businesses along the Baltic coast and in the Mecklenburg Lake District.

To help you find your way around, there are detailed cycling maps for all regions. Many tours are also excellently signposted. Traveling by train is a wonderfully relaxed way to start your vacation, as many regions are easily accessible.
