MidsummerRemise: welcome the summer in style

In honour of the summer solstice, the manor houses and manor houses in MV attracted visitors with a varied cultural program.

When sleepers tell stories

Every year at the summer solstice, the same thing happens - and it never gets boring: manor houses, castles and manor houses throughout Mecklenburg-Vorpommern open their doors. For two days, you can discover 400 years of manor house history and at the same time see what has become of it - modern concepts, new ideas, lively places.

80 häusers. One weekend. Countless stories

From guided tours and exhibitions to culinary delights, culture and insights into ongoing construction projects - each house has its own program. Some start earlier: Hohen Brünzow Castle, Klempenow Castle and Kölzow Castle are already inviting visitors on Friday evening, with live music, among other things.

13 Häusers taking part for the first time

In Northwest Mecklenburg, Triwalk Manor House, Petersdorf Manor House, Badow Castle and Groß Schwansee Manor are opening their doors for the first time. In the Rostock district, Gutshaus Groß Upahl and Gutshof Detershagen are new additions. The Lake District has seven new additions: Schloss Neustrelitz, Gutshaus Boek, Gutshaus Marxhagen, Burg Klempenow, Jagdschloss Waldsee, Hotel Hullerbusch and the Alte Direktion in Malchin.

How to get there? Regulated

Bus shuttles from Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin, Greifswald and the Lake District will take you directly to the houses - just like in 2025. Two guided bike tours in Mecklenburg Switzerland will take you on an active cultural route through the most beautiful nature.In the Feldberg Lake District, you can also look forward to a guided bike tour and a family adventure hike as well as a bus trip with an expert guide from the manor house

MV and four other countries – together around the Baltic Sea

In 2026, the MidsummerRemise is dedicated to the European Cultural Route of Manors in the Baltic Sea Region. The cultural heritage festival of the Baltic Manors takes place internationally in five countries around the Baltic Sea - MV is part of it.
