MittsommerRemise 2027

The MittsommerRemise will take place again in 2027: On June 19 and 20, manor houses, castles, and manor houses in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will once again open their doors, inviting visitors to discover history, culture, and vibrant places around the summer solstice.

MittsommerRemise 2026

Every year at the summer solstice, the same thing happened—and it never got boring: manor houses, castles, and stately homes throughout Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania opened their doors. For two days, you could explore 400 years of manor house history and, at the same time, see what had become of them—modern concepts, new ideas, vibrant places.

80 houses. One weekend. Countless stories

From guided tours and exhibitions to culinary experiences, culture, and insights into ongoing construction projects—each house offered its own program. Some got an early start: Hohen Brünzow Castle, Klempenow Castle, and Kölzow Castle opened their doors as early as Friday evening, featuring live music, among other attractions.

13 estates participating—for the first time

In Northwest Mecklenburg, Triwalk Manor, Petersdorf Manor, Badow Castle, and Großschlossgut Schwansee opened their doors for the first time. In the Rostock district, the Groß Upahl Manor House and the Detershagen Estate were new additions. The Lake District welcomed seven new additions right off the bat: Neustrelitz Castle, Boek Manor, Marxhagen Manor, Klempenow Castle, Waldsee Hunting Lodge, Hotel Hullerbusch, and the Alte Direktion in Malchin.

Getting there? That was taken care of.

Shuttle buses from Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin, Greifswald, and the Lake District took you directly to the properties—just like in 2025. Two guided bike tours in Mecklenburg Switzerland took you on an active cultural route through the most beautiful natural scenery. In the Feldberg Lake District, you could also enjoy a guided bike tour and a family adventure hike, as well as a bus tour led by a knowledgeable manor house guide.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and four other countries—together around the Baltic Sea

In 2026, the MittsommerRemise was dedicated to the European Cultural Route of the Manor Houses in the Baltic Sea Region. The Baltic Manor Houses Cultural Heritage Festival took place internationally in five countries around the Baltic Sea—Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was part of it.

Want more? The Schlösserherbst makes it possible— historic castles, fascinating history, music, culture, and delicious food, all set in an atmosphere that’s just right.
