A concert experience with exceptionally talented young people and children
The Rostock University of Music and Drama (hmt Rostock) is not only considered one of the most beautiful universities in Germany, but has also gained an excellent international reputation thanks to the success of its students.Since 2008, the Young Academy Rostock (YARO) has played a special role within the university as an international center for early musical education and is considered one of the most innovative models of well-networked support for young talent.
In joint responsibility with the state association of music schools in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, young musicians between the ages of 8 and 18 are sustainably supported, individual access to later music studies is created and a lifelong enthusiasm for music is awakened.
Outstanding young talents are taught and mentored by professors and internationally renowned artistic personalities: in consultations and workshops, in the YARO network and in intensive early studies, in courses and projects at home and abroad as well as numerous performance opportunities. The special support within YARO is only possible thanks to the commitment and close cooperation with partners, sponsors, friends and supporters.
