XXIX. International Workshop for Youth Big Bands, Friday, 27.02. to Sunday, 01.03.2026 in NB

In February/March 2026, the 29th International Workshop for Youth Big Bands will be held in Neubrandenburg. Once again, big bands primarily from the Baltic region are invited. Numerous expressions of interest from big bands have already been received. As in the past, a program is being prepared that will bring the participating young people together across national borders, promote their artistic and musical development and leave a lasting impression.

The big bands will rehearse under the guidance of experienced jazz musicians and give concerts. The mentors of the workshop are lecturers from music academies and experienced big band leaders from Germany and abroad who have made a name for themselves with artistic achievements at a top European level.

The project outline presents the idea of the big band workshop and explains its aims. It is intended to inform interested big bands about the project on the one hand and, on the other, to appeal to long-standing supporters and new sponsors, without whose help the project could not be carried out. The project "International Workshop for Youth Big Bands in Neubrandenburg" has been organized by the JugendBigBand Neubrandenburg e.V. since the beginning and in recent years in close cooperation with the HochschulBigBand Neubrandenburg.
