Horsepower in action! from 10 a.m. on the open-air grounds - reduced admission
On the working day of the cold-blooded horses, the four-legged creatures demonstrate, as part of a varied program, how golders are driven and logs are moved. Demonstrations with historical tools and machines provide an insight into the everyday life of horses as it once was.
Cold-blooded horses are still used today in forestry, for example as forwarders, when the use of heavy machinery is not possible or not desired. Cold-blooded horses, which are characterized by their high body weight and strong stature, are used as heavy draught horses and are valued for their enormous performance and good nature.
