The vacations are just around the corner and with them a week's vacation camp in the forest. Once there, Kemi is supposed to share a room with Jörg. Jörg likes to hike and draw. Because he is more different from the others, he is bullied by Marco and the Dreschke twins. At first, Kemi, who is a bit of a nag himself and dislikes nature both day and night , observes what is going on. But slowly Kemi finds this different Jörg more and more exciting and eventually tries to protect Jörg from Marco's attacks. And then there's the matter of the wolf that Kemi is afraid of at night. The wolf has yellow eyes and Jörg seems to see him too ...
Saša Stanišić's sensitively told story about friendship and the courage to stand up for each other was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 2024.
