featuring Silvio Schneider, guitar
Silvio Schneider—guitarist, composer, globetrotter—consistently continues the musical path he has been pursuing in recent years with his solo program “Winter Lights”: He blends smooth bossa nova with groovy, funky rhythms, jazz with pop, along with a few influences from flamenco, classical music, electronic sounds, and loops, thereby developing his very own sound: GROOVY WORLD GUITAR. Since studying guitar and composition in Dresden, he has been deeply immersed in Latin American music and has been touring the world with his projects for over 20 years. Whether performing solo, with KaraSol, HOELDER, or previously with Nassler & Schneider, he has given approximately 1,500 concerts to date in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, Macedonia, Turkey, the U.S., Mexico, Canada, along the West African coast, to Lebanon, and as far as Japan. Silvio Schneider has released six CDs to date and has collaborated as a guest artist with many musicians, such as Nippy Noya (percussion), Bergitta Victor (singer from the Seychelles), and Dominic Miller (Sting’s guitarist). In 2018, he won the “German Rock and Pop Award” in the “Best Guitarist” category.
