When the first Advent candles are lit and we retreat from the cold and snow into our cozy rooms, behind every door there is a person with their very own fate waiting for the most wonderful time of the year: the young mother who has to bring up her newborn baby alone. The childless elderly lady who has been afraid of loneliness during the holidays since the death of her husband. The young yuppie who forgets about Christmas because of all the work and the well-heeled daughter who has broken off all contact out of anger at her parents and is looking forward to her first Christmas Eve without family. But December wouldn't be the season of charity if these four strangers didn't slowly get to know each other and celebrate an unforgettable Christmas together instead of alone.
