Pop-up exhibition by Matthias Radtke, October 8–24, 2026, at the Schweriner Höfe (formerly the Papierhaus). 18 photographs explore the question of what is real—centered around a triptych featuring an AI portrait. Special evenings with Cellectric • Ulrich Maiß on October 8 and 15. Open 9 a.m.–8 p.m., free admission.
What is real—and how do we recognize it? The exhibition features 18 photographs from 2019 to 2025, organized into seven groups: Authenticity, Trace & Material, Stage & Staging, Order & Structure, Disruption, Transition & Atmosphere, and Architecture & Time.
At the center is the triptych “Authenticity”: two photographs of real people, with an AI-generated portrait in between.
Matthias Radtke, who holds a degree in architectural engineering, worked in public building construction for over 25 years, including on projects such as Schwerin Castle and BER Airport.
This eye for space, material, and light shapes his photography. Since 2025, he has been working as a freelance artist under the name mats-ig.art; his fine art photographs are published in limited editions.
