"The Hero of Friedrichstraße Station" tells the story of Micha Hartung (Charly Hübner), a Berlin video store owner on the brink of bankruptcy who unwittingly becomes a hero to all of Germany: When, on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a journalist portrays him as the mastermind behind the largest mass escape from the GDR, his life is suddenly turned upside down.
