Feature film by Manele Labidi
Psychologist Selma (Golshifteh Farahani) has a crazy plan: she wants to return to her home country of Tunisia to open a psychotherapy practice there. The self-confident Frenchwoman's plan is initially met with skepticism and resistance - but also a great deal of interest. This is because the Tunisian population's need to talk is enormous in the years following the revolution. Because the bureaucratic mills grind slowly, Selma receives her talkative customers on the roof of a residential building in Tunis. However, she encounters the curiosities and colorful characters of her old homeland in more than just her therapeutic sessions. Among others, she meets a highly emotional beauty salon owner with a mother complex, a depressed imam, a man with political-erotic dreams, a mysterious stranger with Freudian traits, an overly moral police officer and her feminist niece, who finds her headscarf just what she needs after a failed visit to the hairdresser...
