A secluded farm in the Altmark region becomes a silent witness across generations: IN DIE SONNE SCHAUEN tells the interwoven stories of four women - Alma (1910s), Erika (1940s), Angelika (1980s) and Nelly (2020s) - who all spend their childhood or youth in this place. As they live in their respective eras, they encounter traces of the past: repressed traumas, family secrets and unconscious connections. When a tragic event is finally repeated, the boundaries between the times become blurred.
