Amrum Island, Spring 1945. In the final days of the war, 12-year-old Nanning braves the treacherous sea to hunt seals, goes fishing at night, and works on a nearby farm to help his mother feed the family. Despite the hardships, life on the beautiful, windswept island feels almost like paradise. But when peace finally arrives, a deeper threat is revealed: the enemy is much closer than he had imagined.
Every 2nd and 4th Monday from September through November, WerkHausWaren e.V. screens selected films or documentaries that are rarely shown in theaters.
