A weekend full of singing in a beautiful natural setting on the Island of Rügen! Look forward to full sounds from the most diverse song cultures of our world: from swinging canons to sea shanties from the rough sea, archaic sounds from Georgia, hot rhythms from the Balkans, little-known Low German folk songs and summer sounds from Scandinavia - there is something for everyone!
Beautiful and interesting arrangements for 2-5 voices invite you to try your hand at music in a small group and to perceive your own voice as a valuable part of the group. Helpful vocal, breathing and physical exercises for a lively voice will be playfully interwoven, allowing you to experience your own voice in addition to the group sound.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who already has singing/choir experience and would like to get to know their voice even better during this intensive singing experience in a small group. Knowledge of sheet music is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. The workshop includes sheet music, practice recordings and recordings of the songs sung.
The instructor, Nora Zender, is a choir director and singing teacher from Berlin. She conducts several choirs in Berlin and gives workshops for polyphonic singing throughout Germany.
