In Hannes Schützler’s workshop, participants can create their own woodcut or linocut, depending on their interests.
A real print shop, printer’s ink, and the tranquility of country life. If you’ve always wanted to know how a woodcut or linocut is made, Qualitz near Bützow is the perfect place for it.
For an entire weekend, graphic designer and printer Hannes Schützler opens his workshop in Qualitz and offers insights into the technique of relief printing. Step by step, participants create their own prints—from the initial sketch to cutting the plate and on to the finished print. Whether it’s woodcut or linocut: depending on their interests and prior experience, each participant will find their own way to approach the technique. Prior knowledge is welcome but not required.
The class size is intentionally kept small so that each participant can receive individual guidance from the instructor.
