Reading aloud and storytelling: Stories for pre-school and primary school children

Every first Friday of the month, we invite children to read aloud and listen to stories. As a network partner of Stiftung Lesen, we want to use our reading aloud initiative to awaken children's enjoyment of and interest in reading and books. Scientific studies have shown that reading aloud increases vocabulary, promotes concentration, makes children want to learn to read and prepares them for school. Our volunteer reading mentors prepare an offer for listening and storytelling, aimed at children of pre-school and primary school age (approx. 4 to 8 years).

Afterwards, children can browse through the library, borrow media or play together at our KUTI games table. Admission is free.
