The Theaterförderverein Rostock and the City Museum invite you to a special afternoon. A cultural highlight for all interested parties!
There are stories and anecdotes about the performances of the ballad Klaus Störtebeker by Kurt Barthel, staged at the festival in Ralswiek by the then director of the Volkstheater Rostock, Hanns Anselm Perten. With Klaus Störtebeker, a national hero of the GDR was to be brought to the stage at the time, who took on the rich and provided the poor with the booty from the privateers.
The three members of the Rostock Theaterförderverein, Gabriele Friesecke, Nils Pille and Bernd Umbach, will talk about the creation of the play and the mass spectacle in Ralswiek. The event will be framed by excerpts from the performances of the time, performed by actor Steffen Schreier and sung by Nils Pille.
Look forward to an entertaining and exciting afternoon and (re)discover with us the roots of the Störtebeker Festival, which has been held annually at Ralswiek since 1993.
