The organizers are particularly looking forward to
11.30 a.m. Performance by the mini show dance group of the Schwaan carnival association
Numerous hands-on activities will be offered in the meeting place and in the inner courtyard, there will be waffles, sausages and grilled cheese as well as plenty of opportunity to chat.
The day of honor is the Germany-wide day of participation on the birthday of the Basic Law and
will take place for the first time on May 23, 2026. Under the motto "The day of honor. For you. For us. For everyone.", everyone is invited to take part locally or digitally and get involved together. The initiator and patron of the Day of Honor is Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The day is organized in cooperation with the German Foundation for Commitment and Volunteering.
All over Germany, associations, organizations, municipalities, companies and individuals are shaping the Day of Honour with their ideas and activities. The day brings people of all ages and backgrounds together. The Day of Honor celebrates the commitment of all of us and makes it clear that democracy lives from people who participate.
