The Advent season is filled with special moments—music that touches the heart and stirs anticipation for Christmas. The Neustrelitz Concert Choir invites you to the Theater in Neustrelitz on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
Under the direction of Benjamin Arlt-Bouffee, attendees can look forward to a festive program featuring Baroque masterpieces, traditional Advent and Christmas carols, and modern compositions. The highlight is Antonio Vivaldi’s famous “Gloria” (RV 589), a radiant work for choir, strings, trumpet, organ, and soloists. The solo parts will be performed by singers from the ranks of the Neustrelitz Concert Choir.
Together with the Strelitz String Ensemble under the direction of Wolfgang Erben, pianist Rico Gatzke, and trumpeter Kerstin Erben, the choir will present a diverse concert. In addition to German Advent and Christmas carols, the program features Gustav Holst’s “In the Bleak Midwinter,” works by Eric Whitacre, and the atmospheric film score from “Home Alone” by John Williams.
The program combines festive and contemplative choral music with modern sounds. In addition to the choir, the concert choir’s vocal ensemble and the string orchestra will also perform.
