Has worked as a freelance painter, graphic artist and sculptor in Weimar since 1981
1984-90 Member of the VBK-DDR
1990-2020 in the artists' group D.206-The Thuringian Secessionmarried with
three adult children

1976 - 81 Studied painting and graphics at the HfBK Dresden, graduated with Prof. Günter Horlbeck 1983 Günter Horlbeck
1983 Expatriated from the GDR and moved to West Berlin
1991 Work scholarship from the Senate of West Berlin
1992 Residency scholarship in Schleswig-Holstein at the Künstlerhaus in Lauenburg
1992 - 93 Study visit to Amsterdam
1993 - 94 Scholarship from the Käthe Dorsch Foundation for Printmaking in Copenhagen
1994Relocation to Weimar and working grant from the Free State of Thuringia
2023 - 24 Relocation back to Hellerau, new studio in Coswig near Dresden
