Sebastian Unterrainer Painting and graphics
Sebastian Unterrainer was born in Trier in 1983. He grew up in a family of artists. His father, a talented artist, draughtsman and caricaturist, taught him all the artistic techniques. His mother, who studied graphic design and worked as a private music teacher, gave him a musical education.
This brought him into contact with various forms of expression and he learned to draw and paint as soon as he could hold a pencil. He plays the guitar, sings and also writes his own songs. As a result, music often finds its way into his paintings and drawings. He is a true multi-talent who wants to enrich the world with his works of art.
Sebastian has a degree in Fine Arts and Biology and has been teaching Fine Arts in a socially disadvantaged neighborhood for 13 years. The experiences in his profession, where he is confronted daily with violence, poverty and social injustice, inspire most of his works directly or indirectly. He is a staunch anti-capitalist and minimalist with a "less is more" philosophy.
