Martin Tingvall, a Swedish pianist based in Hamburg and leader of the Tingvall Trio—a multiple ECHO Jazz Award winner—invites you on a poetic musical journey between darkness and new beginnings, silence and hope with his program “When Light Returns.” His music tells of quiet moments of change or of that instant when the light slowly returns.

With catchy melodies, subtle nuances, and great emotional depth, he shapes his unmistakable, Nordic-influenced sound that bridges neo-classical and jazz—a sonic landscape that places him in the same league as Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds.
