KOMPASS Career Fair on November 13 in Wolgast: More than 60 exhibitors
Whether you’re interested in apprenticeships, dual study programs, job hunting, or continuing education—the Wolgast Career Fair, taking place on November 13, 2026, in Wolgast, offers a wide range of opportunities to learn about career prospects in the region and to speak directly with companies from various industries and institutions. On this day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hufelandstraße Sports Hall, everything will revolve around the world of work.
More than 60 exhibitors will present their offerings and look forward to welcoming numerous visitors. “KOMPASS offers a great opportunity to talk directly and easily with hiring managers, learn about new careers, and find out about entry-level opportunities,” says Klaus-Peter Köpcke, director of the Greifswald Employment Agency. More than half of this year’s exhibitors have already found an apprentice or an employee through KOMPASS.
KOMPASS is aimed at both young people interested in an apprenticeship, an internship, or a (dual) degree program, as well as adults who want to learn about job openings or continuing education opportunities. In total, more than 80 apprenticeship programs and nearly 20 dual degree programs will be presented. In addition, there will be numerous job and continuing education opportunities. Information about the exhibitors, including an overview of available positions, can be found at www.wolgast.de. “It’s worth getting an overview of what’s on offer in advance so you can approach specific companies and institutions on the day of the fair,” advises Martin Schröter, mayor of Wolgast. It’s also recommended that you bring your resume with your contact information—as a sort of personal business card.
In addition, there’s plenty to try out and discover at KOMPASS. The Employment Agency is offering a unique glimpse into more than 100 professions using virtual reality headsets, and at the Chamber of Crafts’ welding simulator, interested visitors can test their manual skills. Other booths also feature hands-on activities where you can try out different things.
KOMPASS is organized by the City of Wolgast and the Employment Agency. They are supported by additional partners: e.dis, the Vorpommern-Greifswald District Craftsmen’s Association, Signal Iduna, Peene Shipyard (Rheinmetall), and Sparkasse Vorpommern.
