Tradition Comes Alive: Folk costume and dance groups from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will showcase regional folk costumes and dances at the Folk Costume Day in Graal-Müritz.
On October 18, 2026, Traditional Costume Day will be celebrated as part of the Nature and Wildlife Weeks in Graal-Müritz. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Heritage Association and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Dance Association are inviting traditional costume and dance groups from various regions of the state to showcase their diverse traditional costumes and dances.
The focus is on the vibrant diversity of regional traditional costumes and folk dances. On stage, the groups will perform traditional dances and offer insights into the unique features of their costumes.
Traditional Costume Day offers an opportunity to experience regional culture up close, strike up conversations with those wearing traditional costumes, and discover the cultural diversity of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
We look forward to a special day of traditional costumes, dance, and living tradition in Graal-Müritz!
