Torben Kuhlmann: Earheart - The adventurous flight of a vole around the world
Interactive reading for children with the well-known children's book author and illustrator Torben Kuhlmann
For the voles, the boundaries of their vegetable garden are the boundaries of the world. But one of them dreams beyond them: she discovers a picture of a giant cat from Africa on a stamp. How does she get there? No burrowing machine can do it! A well-known mouse pilot helps her to build a flying machine. But our mouse has not reckoned with the colony's resistance ... In the end, the inquisitive mouse sets off on an adventurous journey, meets giant cats in Africa and a human woman who shares her passion for flying: Amelia Earhart.
Epic illustrations, a narrative ingeniously woven into the human story and a surprising plot - these are the ingredients of Torben Kuhlmann's mouse adventures. In this fifth volume, he pays tribute to aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart. Against all
Against all odds, she campaigned to free women from their role corsets, which is why she remains an icon of the women's rights movement to this day.
Torben Kuhlmann lives and works as a freelance children's book author and illustrator in Hamburg. He studied illustration and communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. He completed his studies in 2012 with his first mouse adventure "Lindbergh". The book was soon published by NordSüd Verlag and quickly became an international bestseller. It was followed by the volumes "Armstrong", "Edison" and most recently "Einstein". The mice adventures have now been translated into over 30 languages and have a huge fan base worldwide.
