Children's book reading | from 6 years
For the voles, the boundaries of their vegetable garden are the boundaries of the world. But one of them dreams beyond them: on a stamp she discovers a picture of a giant cat from Africa. How does she get there? No burrowing machine can do it! A well-known mouse pilot helps her to build a flying machine. But our mouse has not reckoned with the colony's resistance ... In the end, the inquisitive mouse sets off on an adventurous journey, meets giant cats in Africa and a human woman who shares her passion for flying: Amelia Earhart.
Torben Kuhlmann lives and works as a freelance children's book author and illustrator in Hamburg. He studied illustration and communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. He completed his studies in 2012 with his first mouse adventure "Lindbergh". The book was soon published by NordSüd Verlag and quickly became an international bestseller. It was followed by the volumes "Armstrong", "Edison", "Einstein" and most recently "Earhart". The mice adventures have now been translated into over 30 languages and have a huge fan base worldwide.
