When THE SOULDIERS formed 30 years ago, they just wanted to play this cool music and have the same fun that THE COMMITMENTS had just had on the big screen. In 1993, they had no idea what soul meant. Soul obviously meant the soul. The heart too. There was talk of hard work, of maintaining work, of the value of good communication, cohesion and equality. All of that is soul. When it's made with love, the enthusiasm in front of and on stage is palpable; because it simply has everything you need to be happy. You can dance, dream, hug each other, and the band provides the groove, 4 voices languish about love and its unconditionality... and then there's The Fat Horns to blow your ears free...
