Today, the Dream Magic Tree has grown the Dream Leaf for the children, featuring the story of Mimmelitt, the city rabbit. Together with Moosmutzel, the forest spirit girl, Mimmelitt sings along to the Dream Leaf. No sooner have the two greeted the sun with their “morning grouch” exercise routine than the big, fat cat Leopold shows up. He doesn’t want to be alone tonight, because a squeaky secret is on its way! An iron ghost! He’s heard some terrifying, spine-chilling sounds. Pff, Mimmelitt will catch that mystery with his left paw, yep! But the Dream Magic Tree and the kids have to help.
Then the moment arrives: Deep in the starry night, the terrible squeaking draws ever closer. After a big scare, it turns out the squeaking mystery is Knight Adelbert, a very old, rusty weathercock. He wants nothing more than a little lubricating oil, some paint, and a roof—oh! An adventurous rescue mission begins.
