The Mecklenburg Schweiz and Lake Kummerow Nature Park invites you to watch the deer rut in Mamerow from Thursday, October 2 to October 12, 2025.
When the roaring in the forest slowly dies down, the stags really get going in the red deer enclosure in Mamerow. It is one of the largest enclosures in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with exceptionally strong deer. The spacious enclosure offers the red deer optimal living conditions and plenty of space.
The impressive mating behavior of the red deer is always a fascinating natural spectacle, which can hardly be observed anywhere better than in Mamerow. So if you want to experience roaring and fighting deer, this is a particularly good opportunity. A ranger from the nature park will give you interesting explanations. The observations are made from a roofed high seat, binoculars and a camera should be part of your equipment.
The meeting point is at 17:00 in Klaber in front of the church on the road between Teterow and Krakow am See.
