The Irish Folk Festival 2026

Irish tradition is like a battery that has been recharging itself over and over again for centuries. The energy and zest for life it gives you flows back into it with every session, with every concert, and keeps the cycle going. Those who take part give a lot and get a lot in return. Happiness that you can share with others is always stronger than the happiness you experience alone. Collective memory and collective remembrance bring us together. It’s fascinating that the tradition is simply there and that you can participate in it so easily, even though everything in our world is constantly getting more expensive. It’s “gold dust in your pocket” that you discover anew time and again whenever you slip into the mantle of tradition.

So let’s see what gold nuggets tradition has conjured up in our pockets for the 53rd year of the Irish Folk Festival Tour.

We’re looking forward to seeing you! Of course, at the IFF with four program highlights that couldn’t be more different, but which come together during the session—the highlight of the evening—to form a dazzling rainbow. An Irish myth says that a treasure is hidden at the end of the rainbow. To this day, this treasure remains a symbol of longing, happiness, and the dream of the unattainable. And perhaps that’s exactly what has always fascinated us: setting out on the search—knowing full well that the end of the rainbow can never be found.
