With Gregorian chants, orthodox church music and newly interpreted pop classics, The Gregorian Voices take you into an impressive world of sound between the Middle Ages and the present day.
Under the artistic direction of Oleksiy Semenchuk, the eight Ukrainian soloists of The Gregorian Voices present the musical tradition of Gregorian chant in an impressive way.
Dressed in traditional monks' robes, the singers create a special atmosphere and take the audience on a musical journey through time into the world of sacred music of the Middle Ages. The program combines Gregorian chorales, orthodox church music as well as songs and madrigals from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The second part of the concert also features well-known pop music titles in a new, Gregorian-influenced guise, including "Ameno"You Raise Me Up", "Knocking on Heaven's Door", "Hallelujah", "Sound of Silence" and "Sailing". The result is a varied concert evening in which the Middle Ages and the present come together in a special way. The powerful voices of the soloists and the impressive choral singing promise a moving musical experience.
