In 'Sorda - The Sound of the World' (2025), writer and director Eva Libertad tells of the unexpected challenge of having a child as a deaf woman in a world full of barriers, of encounters and misunderstandings, respect and diversity, of love and trials. Sorda' was awarded the Audience Award in the Berlinale Panorama and Best Film at the Seattle Film Festival, among others. Miriam Garlo, who is deaf herself, as Ángela and Álvaro Cervantes as Héctor won the acting awards at the Málaga Film Festival.
