The Rostock modern shanty ensemble Die Blowboys will release its third album "Don't Give a Ship" at the DockInn in Warnemünde on 29.11.2025.
Blowing maritime music and shanties from Rostock out into the world - that's the mission
of the eight Küstenjungs! Since 2015, they have been mixing up the somewhat mothballed genre in a changing line-up by taking everything that is not nailed down to the shanty grain: Radio and television, harbor taverns and shark boats, churches and concert halls, grandma's birthday party and
open-air stages, sailors' clubs and studios. They focus on finely tuned vocals in their own arrangements, while the additional instruments - accordion, guitar, piano, double bass and percussion - would make any navy band green with envy and really put the pressure on both unplugged and amplified. Now the boys have answered the call of their fans and recorded their third album after seven years - an exciting mix of maritime music, folk and rap. On 29.11.2025 at 7.30 pm, the boys will release the album to the world with a big release concert at DockInn Warnemünde.
