Interactive reading and exchange

The European Integration Center Rostock e. V. cordially invites you to the book event by Katja Sinko and Peter Jelinek. The event will take place on May 29, 2026 from 18:00 to 21:00 at Haus Europa (Mühlenstraße 9, 18055 Rostock).

Europe has seen better times: A shift to the right, polarization, entrenched structures. So giving up? Not an option.
In their joint book, Katja Sinko and Peter Jelinek show that Europe can be more than just a political system. They invite us to think of ideas that are unheard of, urgent and long overdue. Their vision: a Europe that not only administers, but shapes and tangibly improves the everyday lives of its citizens.

This interactive reading is more than just a classic book evening: it is a discussion, a think tank and an invitation to join in. Together with the audience, ideas are developed further and key questions are asked: What could a Europe look like that shapes rather than just manages? And what role do we play in this?
The event combines readings, talks and active participation - as a space for discussion, contradiction and new perspectives. At the same time, the evening offers plenty of opportunity for exchange and encounters. Get to know new people, join in the discussion and experience the special dynamic that arises when European ideas are developed together.

What you can expect:
- Interactive format & open exchange
- Talk & reading with the authors
- Idea pitch with new approaches
