A hike along the Ziddorfer
The Mecklenburg Schweiz and Lake Kummerow Nature Park will take you on the trail of the beaver:
On a hike along the Ziddorfer Mühlenbach stream, we will explore the activities of the skillful master builder in detail and learn a lot about its history. It was extinct in our region for more than 200 years. For some years now, it has been successfully creating aquatic habitats for itself and many other species in the nature park region - and occasionally comes into conflict with human land use in the process. During the excursion, you can find out how suitable means can be used to achieve a low-conflict coexistence.
Join us to explore spring in the beaver area! Meeting point is on 28.03.2026, 10 a.m. at the Ziddorfer Mühle (17166 Ziddorf), directly on the B 108. We hike about 3 hours and about 5 kilometers. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Please remember to bring weatherproof clothing suitable for the terrain.
