Learn interesting facts about this unique natural forest, its communication and its inhabitants.

One thing is certain: nature, with its forests, mountains, lakes and rivers, is our original habitat. For most of human history, we have lived in direct and immediate contact with nature. We gathered what the plants gave us. We followed the large herds of animals to hunt and provide ourselves with meat and skins. And when we settled down, the seasons, cold and heat, rain, sun and wind continued to determine our lives: sowing and harvesting followed the rhythm that nature set for us, we celebrated these wonderful processes of life, death and rebirth that we could observe all around us.

Even when we intervened to change nature - and we began to do so very early on in our history - we were always a part of it, felt safe and secure, and were aware of the gift that was bestowed upon us anew every day.We gave our heartfelt thanks to the forces of nature, to natural deities, to the one Creator God - and felt that we were beings who truly belonged here.

I invite you, let us immerse ourselves in the world of our origins: much of this original sense of belonging may have been lost in our modern world, but at the same time more and more people are realizing that the world is a great cycle, which we do not face, but in which we participate and which permeates us completely in the depths of our souls. You may realize that the assertion that man is something like an ulcer for the community of life in nature is just as untrue as the idea that man is the crown of creation. You breathe in and out - and feel that you are a very special animal, but an animal nonetheless. One that we call human and which, like a wolf, a badger, a blackbird or an ant, inhabits a niche in nature and has its own task there. The air that we breathe and that keeps us alive does not come from nowhere, but is produced by processes in which the entire ecosystem is involved. Everything works together - and life is only possible in its entirety. We breathe because trees and oceans breathe.

Everything we do has an impact on the world. We often become painfully aware of this when we think about our ecological footprint, which is determined by the carbon footprint of our car journeys or air travel and, of course, our consumption of resources. The world is a magical place. Giant and microscopic, fire and ice, oceans and deserts - new things are constantly emerging from these contrasts. So many things can amaze us and touch our hearts if we learn to look with open hearts again.

Come with me, I invite you to the power place of nature.
