A film about coal, water, and the question of what price others pay for our energy consumption.
What does the coal burned in Germany have to do with the lives of indigenous communities in Colombia?
The documentary “Territorio Puloui” takes viewers into the arid landscape of La Guajira in northern Colombia and, from the perspective of the Wayuu people, explores the impact of coal mining on water, the environment, and their daily lives.
Following the screening, director Carmela Daza and Dr. Alexandra Gericke from the University of Rostock will discuss the “coal paradox”: While Germany is phasing out coal, the ecological and social consequences of mining persist elsewhere.
