Soli Performance Reading at Studio 36
On September 26 at 3:00 p.m., the program "terrain vague" featuring Henni-Lisette Busch and the artists Helge Griem and Gato. “terrain vague” is more of a reading meadow than a reading stage, as readings take place in open spaces, gardens, and courtyards. The founders— Everest Girard, David Lorenz, and Claudia Schlegel —invite two to three authors from Rostock and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to each reading and, together with them, present short stories, poetry, and prose excerpts in a program lasting about one hour. The reading venues change, but the setting is always more or less the same: a chair, a table, a speaker. The audience sits on blankets or folding chairs. The atmosphere is shaped by the respective location. Parallel to the reading, a “frei-aus-der-luft-text” is created, written in the style of a “cadavre exquis”—everyone is allowed to contribute and add small pieces of text without knowing what is written in the preceding sections. At the end, the “text out of thin air” is revealed in its entirety and read aloud.
